One down, More to go

IN a way I deserted my computer today, although I hovered around it for hours. With school time getting closer and closer, I was feeling the need to get my desk and computer space organized. It's amazing how many things stack up in this area. It has at times been a bit of a sore point with me that everyone uses this area; if you homeschool you know exactly what I mean. There are too many important things kept in this area, and keeping them organized and at hand is crucial.

Technically, these pictures are NOT before pictures as I had already started pulling things off the desk shelves (it would be kindof hard to type with things piled on top of my keyboard;), but it will give you an idea how much had stacked up in this area.

And after a few hours of sorting and storing

I have to point out these cute organizer thingies (I'm not sure what they're called) . I picked them up at the local Goodwill for .99 cents each. I love the brightly colored polka dots inside; it kindof makes me not want to put anything in them... but then I suppose that would be defeating the whole purpose of having them;)

I also want to remind everyone that tomorrow is Recipe Fun Friday hosted by Nikki's Notes; last week a few new people joined in, but we would definitely like to add more to the list. Just try a new recipe (simple is fine) and post it to your blog. Then stop by Nikki's and link up.

Thanks for the plug! And Wow! Your desk area looks so much better now. How long will it stay that way?

I am working on a blanket for one of my friends who is having a baby. She reads my blog, so I cannot post about it. I probably won't be done before tomorrow night when her shower is, so it will be my WIP for next Wednesday. Have you gotten a chance to start crocheting yet? I know that you've been awfully busy lately.

Hey your desk looks great! It really makes me want to get our office cleaned out. Our desk is definitely the catch-all place for any papers or books that enter our house!

I actually think it will stay this way Nikki, as we now have a separate computer for the kids and I am encouraging (:) hubby to do his odd and end stuff there. I also have some workable storage and file boxes to help keep it organized long-term.

Still working on getting started with the crocheting...:) I love the baby blanket my sister made for me when my daughter was born. I finally had to pack it away when she was about five because I was afraid we would wear it out and I wanted to keep it for her memory box.

Scourge of the Swastika? Yikes! Sound scary! Good job on the organizing!

Mrs.Darling: You WOULD enlarge the picture, LoL. It was a good book, but a little hard to read due to the content. I read these kind few and far between anymore.

Angela: Glad someone appreciates my odd sense of humor!:)

Great job on the cleaning/organizing! I like to show off things like that too because around our house, they so rarely happen! =)

This might inspire some work around the house this weekend...
