Merry Christmas

I love this song, even more so since I've become a mother myself. Surely Mary couldn't have imagined even half the things that would happen in the life of her son. From the many miracles he performed, to being viciously beaten and hung to die on a cross. She's one of those people who I wouldn't mind having a chat with one day in heaven. A mother just like myself, imperfect and human. And yet she was used of God to bring the greatest gift ever given into this world.

So on this day of giving gifts and spending time with family, I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas Day.

And with all my heart, I thank God for sending us the most precious gift of all, our Saviour Jesus Christ.

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 kjv

About the coasters, I sent one set to you as a gift because I knew how much you like them. Then you won the next set. So now you have two!! They're all yours to do with whatever you like.

A great version of "Mary, Did You Know" is available on SouthLake Foursquare Church's Joy Volume 1 CD. It is performed by the Brown Sisters, a local gospel a capella group but this time is backed by the SouthLake band (West Linn). This is my favorite Christmas CD ever. It is available at the church on Borland Road or at
You can find the song on the playlist - it is track 7. It starts out slow but reaches a worshipful climax.

I am working with the sisters on their Myspace page and it will soon be fully utilized to sell their music.

Another great version of MDYK is on Rescue's "The First Christmas" CD. Another a capella group - this time male. My favorite CD is "Before the Throne"

Blessings to you from someone snowed in off Hidden Springs Road
