Putting in the garden

The weather has finally warmed up enough to be able to plant our garden. I am so happy!

Yes, it's rather late to be planting at the end of June. And we had to buy more plants than seeds. As well as skip a few things that it's just too late to put in. I suppose I could have averted that by starting seeds inside. Maybe next year;)

But we will have bush beans, green & yellow zucchini, pickling & slicing cucumbers, cherry, yellow plum & canning tomatoes, peppers, and small pumpkins. I can be content with that.

The Professor picked out a chocolate mint plant (I kid you not) to put in his row in the garden. It smells so good already.

This morning we head out to the strawberry fields at a local farm. I'm hoping to make a little bit of jam, and put the rest in the freezer for future snacking (minus the many my kids will eat during the whole process:).

Have a wonderful day~

First of all, Daniel is so cute and chubby that John and I do want to eat him up!

Secondly, I am not worried about those books. They'll get here when they get here. Since Sarah Beth doesn't even know they are coming, she isn't disappointed.

Thirdly, I keep reading about everyone's gardens, and I am jealous! I want a garden!! I want to grow my own fruits and veggies! Sigh. Maybe next year. But then, hopefully, I'll be pregnant again. Maybe not next year. This fall, though, I AM going to buy some blueberry bushes. I WILL have blueberries next year even if it's only a handful.

HOPEFULLY you'll be pregnant? I'm afraid I may be the one jealous then:) Only I want to be pregnant with someone else's body...which will sound very strange to anyone who doesn't know about my pregnancies.

The blueberrie bushes are a GREAT idea! And I didn't have a garden when mine were toddlers either;)

It sounds like you have difficult pregnancies. Mine are fairly easy. My deliveries have been extremely easy, and I wish all women could deliver like I have been able to.

I really need to write about my last pregnancy sometime; it might help someone else like the apraxia posts have, but I think it's still hard to think about it in some ways.

By the way, my labor and deliveries go quite well (almost too quick for my liking). It's just the pregnancies that are so difficult.
