Recipe Fun Friday- Pumpkin Waffles

Our rainy weather has tricked my mind into thinking that the Autumn season is upon us. And with that season usually comes a craving for everything pumpkin, including pancakes and waffles. So I thought I would try out this recipe from the Family Fun website.

I happened to pick up several cans of organic pumpkin at grocery outlet for 50 cents. I didn't realize until I went to use it for this recipe that it was pumpkin mix, but it did just fine. The recipe only called for 1/2 cup of pumpkin, but I doubled that because we like them to have a stronger pumpkin taste. I also used olive oil instead of butter and trimmed it's amount by about 1/3 less.
They were very good with a nicely balanced pumpkin and spice taste. I added whipped cream for the picture, but we just used syrup.

EDIT: Is anyone else having a hard time getting their paragraphs to space on blogger? It's driving me absolutely crazy!!!

Yummy!

Yes, I have trouble with the paragraph spacing as well. I think I've just become resigned over the whole matter.

Write in html mode and there will be no problem! tut tut I have said that many times but, no, you wont do it. sigh

Mrs.D: I totally do not understand html; even hubby can't figure it out. I might be able to if you showed me in person. Maybe.

Why can't they just make it easier to post the other way??

Where's the recipe? I want to try those because they sound YUMMY!

I have problems with spacing, too. When I'm done and the spacing isn't right, I go to the html and fix it there. I had to start going to html to get Mr. Linky to work right. Oh, I used to pull my hair out (not literally) trying to get him up correctly.

I put the link on the word "this". LoL Didn't mean to be confusing;)

It's a good thing I posted last night because my computer refused to boot up properly this morning. It's working now if I just stick to the basic sites. Grrrr

May I borrow your waffle maker, please? We don't have one, and I would like to try your recipe now that I found it.

I'll run it right over..;)

By the way, when you buy one (it's a neccessity, believe me) buy a BELGIAN waffle maker. I've had an easy clean Toastmaster(brand)for I don't know how long, at least 3 years or so. I was just thinking yesterday that I really need to get another one because it takes a long time having to make them one at a time.

I was about to leave the comment, "We want a new post." But then I realized that I haven't posted either since Thursday. Dear me! Maybe later this afternoon.

I have pictures of the aquarium! It was fun!!

Hello there... thought I'd drop by your blog since I've been out of "the loop" for a while (busy, busy)! These waffles look absolutely wonderful... I'm a big pumpkin fan, too! And I'm SO ready for fall! :o)

This looks fabulous! I don't have a waffle maker, but maybe I can try it with pancakes?
