Ladies Night Out

I went to the annual ornament exchange at our church this evening. We had a large group there this year (around 40 or so) and lots of yummy treats. This is definitely NOT the time of year to be on a diet (which I am) and I feel pretty bloated from all those treats. I actually ate more of the homemade toffee I brought than of anything else, so I guess I have myself to blame. Truth be told, after a night of bingeing off of my diet, I usually am anxious to get back on my diet just for the fact that I feel so much better physically. Tommorrow I make cookies for the annual bake sell (more temptation!). Oh well, all for a good cause. I got a totally adorable little snowflake/man ornament (shown on my sidebar) with a tag attached that says "snowmen come unassembled." Very cute. We officially started Christmas break today, and had our Christmas party at Blueberry House (Mrs.Darling's) yesterday. It was alot of fun. She has the perfect kitchen, and had all 8 of the kid's dipping marshmellows, pretzels, peanuts, ect. in dark and white chocolate. Then there were crafts and happy meals and, best of all, visiting time for the adults! We usually are so busy homeschooling there isn't much time to talk. Now I am bracing myself for the fact that the next two weeks will fly by so quickly I'll wonder where the time went. Happy Weekend to all~
